What Happens During an Oil Change

When your Cadillac comes in for an oil change, we lift it up and then expose the oil drain plug underneath your car. Then we open that plug and let out all the old oil and sludge that has formed so that the vehicle is completely empty of oil. Then, we exchange the filter for a new filter that will keep your new oil free of contaminants as it goes across the engine. Once that’s done, we close the drain plug, bring the car down, and put in up to six quarts of fresh, new synthetic oil so that your engine can work the way it should.

Synthetic Oil vs. Other Oils

The main difference between synthetic oil and other oils is that synthetic oil lasts for longer. It can work in your engine for much longer because it’s been bolstered by chemical additives that optimize it for use in your engine.
